Resistance in Times of Change – A Disruptive Force or a Driving Force?

The Chair of Industrial Education cordially invites you to the 6th Symposium on 25 September 2026 from 9 am to 13 pm in the Campus Welcome Center of the OVGU Magdeburg (Building 01, Room 201 | Universitätsplatz 2 39106 Magdeburg).

The 6th Symposium on Human Resources at the Chair of Industrial Education will discuss questions regarding the conditions for successful debate, the possibilities for critical participation, and how to deal with dissent at various levels:

• How does resistance manifest itself in organisations and what functions does it fulfil?
• What is needed for resistance to lead to constructive critical dialogue rather than polarisation?
• What are the consequences of unresolved resistance in workplaces and organisations?
• What responsibility and role do human resources development and workplace training play in these processes?

At a time when change is increasingly becoming a constant requirement, the symposium provides a space to view resistance not only as a problem, but also as a necessary resource for social and organisational development.
